Goodbye, Sanity

You know that you have no brain capacity remaining after a 4 hour college paper writing marathon when you start to argue with the historical figure about whom you're writing. For instance:

Liz: SHUT UP, VOLTAIRE. I WANT TO GO TO BED.

Voltaire: No, you shut up, foolish 21st century American girl. You clearly do not understand my illumined wit or my clever Newtonian double-entendres. Therefore, I deem you female and unworthy of seeking education.

Liz: BUT YOU WILL DEFEND TO THE DEATH MY RIGHT TO TELL YOU TO SHUT UP AND LEAVE ME ALONE.

Voltaire:......That quote is so overused.

Liz: I rest my case.

**Sorry, for the sake of posterity, it turns out that the quote was mistakenly attributed to Voltaire. But guess who wrote his biography? A Victorian woman. Mwhahahahaha. I totally win against the voices in my head!
